AI visibility
What does Mentioned actually do?
It runs organic growth for your site on autopilot. It reads your site to learn your brand, researches keywords and competitors, plans 30 days of content, writes and fact-checks articles in your voice, publishes them to your CMS, audits your technical SEO every week, and tracks how ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Gemini recommend you — with a fix plan for the questions you lose.
Will the articles sound like us — and are they accurate?
The writer works from your Brand Brain: your products, audience, tone and the facts found on your own pages, plus anything you add or ban. Each article then goes through a fact-check pass that removes or flags claims it can’t support, and it never invents statistics, quotes, studies or customer names — sources are the real pages it researched. Every article gets a quality score; anything below your threshold waits for review instead of publishing.
Do I stay in control, or does it publish anything?
You choose. In Review mode every article waits in the editor until you approve it. In Autopilot mode, articles that clear your quality threshold publish on schedule and the rest are held for you. You can edit any article, change the plan and switch modes at any time.
Where can it publish?
Directly to WordPress, Webflow, Shopify (using a custom-app Admin API token) and Wix (beta, with a site API key), or to any system that accepts a signed webhook. Every article can also be copied or downloaded as Markdown or HTML for any other platform.
Will Google penalise AI-written content?
Google has said it focuses on the quality of content rather than how it’s produced, and treats content mass-produced mainly to manipulate rankings as spam. Mentioned is built around helpfulness — your real facts, fact-checking, a quality threshold and an optional review step — but no tool can guarantee rankings, and we don’t claim to.
How long does setup take?
A few minutes of your time. Enter your domain and market, connect your CMS if you want auto-publishing, and choose Autopilot or Review. Mentioned then crawls your site, builds the Brand Brain, runs the first audit and research, and starts on the plan — you can watch the first article being written.
How is the visibility score calculated?
Each answer earns a weight: 0 if you're not mentioned, 1.0 if you're ranked first, 0.15 less for each rank below (minimum 0.3), and 0.6 if you're mentioned outside a ranked list. Your score is the average weight × 100 across the latest answer for each prompt and engine over a rolling 7 days — a mention rate weighted by position. Our methodology page has the details.
AI answers change all the time. Is this reliable?
Individual answers vary, so we track many prompts across several engines, show your score with a ± confidence range, and only alert you when a change is bigger than that range. Every data point links back to the full answer so you can check it yourself. Note that API answers can differ from what the consumer apps show a particular person.
